Tus-sound Environmental Resources Co., Ltd. (00826), China's leading environmental solution provider, released its audited semi-annual financial statements on Monday, reporting a robust revenue growth in the first half of 2018.
The report shows that the company generated a total of over RMB 5.41 billion in operating revenue during the reporting period, a year-on-year growth of 38.47 percent. Its net profit also increased by 23.16 percent from a year earlier to reach RMB 607.17 million by the end of this June.
With such a rapid revenue growth, the company saw its total assets rise by up to 10.95 percent from the end of last year to hit more than 36.96 billion by the end of the reporting period. However, the net amount of its cash flow fell by 95.33 percent during the fiscal period.
The company's basic earnings per share rose by 5.12 percent year-on-year while its weighted average rate of return on equity dropped by 1.57 percent from the previous year.
As the leading player in China's solid waste processing market, the company invested around RMB 8.2 billion in nine public-private partnership (PPP) projects during the reporting period to help local governments deal with the solid waste pollution.
What's more, the company also saw a sustained growth in its environmental sanitation business with a total of RMB 1.35 billion worth of agreements signed over the first half of 2018.
