The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was held in Las Vegas from January 8 to January 11 this year. A parcel from the Central China Changsha City was delivered by a Baidu's unmanned-driving van "Apollo" to the meeting room of CES after landing from its flight.

What Baidu tried to showcase is the practical uses of its unmanned-driving technology. Baidu unveiled its intelligent driving system Apollo 3.5 version, which supports unmanned-driving in complex city road networks.

Baidu's logistics vehicles could drive on sophisticated roads which means they could accommodate the city center and residential districts, including crossroads with no traffic lights and narrow paths, among others.

On the same day, Baidu also rolled out its "Apollo Enterprise" for companies, providing them intelligent, safe, and customized unmanned-driving services.

Apollo Enterprise system could help customers to achieve quicker installation and practical uses, with various prices to choose from, said Zhang Yaqin, the CEO of Baidu.

The Weltmeister (WM) Motor inked a deal with Baidu for collaboration in Level 3 (L3) and Level 4 (L4) unmanned driving cars solutions at the CES, among which L3 unmanned driving could be mass produced by 2021.

"The Apollo Enterprise system could facilitate the WM cars for intelligent driving," said Shen Hui, the CEO of WM Motor.
