Chinese stocks closed higher Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.41 percent to close at 2,591.69.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.66 percent higher at 7,573.52 points.
The combined turnover of stocks in the two indices came in at 300.6 billion yuan (44.2 billion U.S. dollars), up from 244 billion yuan the previous day.
Sectors of electronic device and aircraft manufacturing gained most, with the sub-indexes rising 1.79 percent and 1.57 percent, respectively.
Hunan Corun New Energy surged by the daily limit of 10 percent to close at 4.82 yuan per share, and Sichuan Haite High-Tech increased 3.72 percent to close at 10.59 yuan.
The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board, gained 1.12 percent to close at 1,265.16.
