The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China announced that China would introduce the Xiongan New Area in Hebei Province to the world on May 28, the Securities Times reported on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will invite international journalists to an event called "China in the new era: Xiongan - A Vision of the Future of Cities" next Monday, as announced by the ministry's international press center.
According to the master plan document for the Xiongan New Area published by the State Council, Xiongan will develop modern service industries such as logistics, education, and healthcare, and establish itself as a city that is green, intelligent, efficient and livable with high-quality public services.
Because of the Xiongan New Area's superior geographical location and government support, more high-tech industries intend to gather in this area. Computer-related industries, such as big data, artificial intelligence, Internet security and cloud computing, have formed a foundation for their development.
Pingan Securities stated that as the Xiongan New Area is improving its innovation capabilities, those computer-related industries will accelerate in their gathering in Xiongan and become a new industrial cluster.
The master plan document also pointed out the future industry development focuses for the Xiongan New Area, including a new-generation information technology industry, a modern life science and biotechnology industry, a new material industry, a high-end modern service industry and green ecological agriculture.
Pingan Securities believed that a new-generation information technology industry would result in innovative achievements because of the development of the Xiongan New Area.
The Xiongan New Area should use the master plan document as a blueprint and learn from the advanced experiences of the United States and Japan, to establish a leading global technology innovation center.
As the location for Beijing's noncapital functions, the Xiongan New Area will house Beijing's universities, hospitals, business headquarters, financial institutions and public institutions, and improve the high-quality public services and strengthen its ability to attract talents.
